Due to recent copyrighted infrigments and the recent reporting of the club we will no longer be accepting photo-manips or any material regarding photo's that you did not take yourself.
This includes:
Photo's of the actors/actresses/any photographs from the moviesDrawings based on the photo's are still allowed, as well as cos-play photo's, it just the actual photo that we will not be accepting.

WARNING
As of 05.21.09, anyone who favorites club submissions will receive:
1. A warning.
Within the warning note, you will be asked to remove the club submission(s).
You will have
1 week to read the note and remove the favorited submission.
Failure to respond within a weeks time, or ignoring of the note will result in a ban.
We will give the name of the submission you have favorite. 2. Banned.
Anyone who favorites club submission(s) and does not take immediate action to remove the offending piece(s) will be banned from the club.
3. Club Members.
Anyone who is part of the club and favorites submissions and does not remove them once mistake is realized, will receive a warning and will also
lose 5 house points for their house.
If they refuse or ignore to remove the club submission(s) then it will result in a ban and the house will
lose 10 house points as a result.
I know this may seem really harsh, but favoring the submission(s) of the club is a disrespect towards the artist who actually created the work.
The offender will receive a warning before being banned so take this as you will.If I find that users are favoring less often, or not at all, I will lift the warning/banning.
But the same is said vice versa; If I find users are favoring more often then I will ban without warning.Thank you for the understanding.

I've only come on to warn users NOT TO FAVORITE THE CLUB SUBMISSIONS but other than that art and joiners are not being added yet!
When I return the club will be updated immediately.

This is going to be quite a long comment, but it is important that you read it. My name is Michael Goulty, and I am contacting you regarding the content of your gallery. Currently, the content within your gallery is breaking several copyright laws, which carries a hefty fine. You can be fined under the following Acts:
Fraudulent Copyright Notice. — Any person who, with fraudulent intent, places on any article a notice of copyright or words of the same purport that such person knows to be false, or who, with fraudulent intent, publicly distributes or imports for public distribution any article bearing such notice or words that such person knows to be false, shall be fined not more than $2,500.
Fraudulent Removal of Copyright Notice. — Any person who, with fraudulent intent, removes or alters any notice of copyright appearing on a copy of a copyrighted work shall be fined not more than $2,500.
False Representation. — Any person who knowingly makes a false representation of a material fact in the application for copyright registration provided for by section 409, or in any written statement filed in connection with the application, shall be fined not more than $2,500. [link]
The injured party can also claim for damages, which can run into hundreds of thousands of dollars. As your gallery is made up of images using stolen copyrighted photos, you are violating copyright law. You are also breaking the rules of dA, as detailed below.

I will summarize, but you should read all of those FAQs I have posted.
You are not permitted to post anything you did not create yourself.
You are also not allowed to post anything that contains copyrighted material that you do not have express written permission to use from the original owner.
What this means is you cannot post pictures from the Internet, Google, other members of dA, other fan sites etc etc.

You have been reported, but it would be advisable to remove ALL the images that contain copyrighted material you do not own or have permission to use. Failure to do so would be a mistake.
Hiding this message would also be regrettable, simply because it will speed up the reporting of your gallery.
I hope you understand, and that you act upon this message as required. I will return to your gallery in a few days time, I expect to see the offending materials removed.
Your members' galleries will also be reported as needed, so please pass on this warning to them.

I'm on Holidays and don't have the time to look through the club to remove the copy righted material.
I'm not even sure WHICH material is the copy righted material.. we have so much..
I don't even.. agh..
Maybe you can explain better to me then how I am to have a club if I am not allowed to post my members work?

Please help me out because I cannot fully understand this.. I am not intending any harm and I'm not meaning to break any rules, especially ones where I would be fined.
If it's not too much of a problem could you possibly point out the offending material OR remove it?
We've never had this problem before and I'm at a loss. I will of course remove the offending material once I've located what it is exactly.

Where there is an issue is that some of your club members submissions to your club gallery are violating the rules regarding copyright.
In short, they are posting images containing stolen images they are not allowed to use. When you post these images for your members, you are also violating the rules.
While I realise this isn't your fault, it is a problem. I will look through your gallery more thoroughly and report what needs removing when I get the chance.
I do understand this is a horrible issue to be confronted with, but I prefer to give people the chance to sort their galleries out, before the admins do.

I'm just speechless honestly. I had no idea and have no idea to know what is and what isn't coptrighted when my members submit.
I have posted a note for the club asking users to come forward if they have submitted work that has been copyrighted or know any work that is.
So I am trying to deal with this and get it sorted out as quickly as I can.
As I said I am on vacation and it's difficult to get online all the time so I really REALLY appreciate you having a look through.
Thank you so much for bringing this to my attention and I will do everything in my power to sort this out to the best of my ability.

If they find pictures on the internet, and use them; they can't submit the image on dA.
Screenshots of films, TV shows or similar are not allowed on dA.
Drawings they do themselves are OK. Photos they took themselves are OK.
Reminding your members not to submit these things into their own galleries would be useful
